We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will report to the Store Director as part of our dynamic team in Rome Condotti and Rinascente Tritone.
Role Mission
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in leading, developing and inspiring a dedicated team of Client Advisors to deliver strong business performance and an elevated, client-centric experience.
Leading by example from the shop floor, you will provide real-time coaching and feedback, support the achievement of store and product category objectives and contribute to the development of talent within the team.
As an ambassador of the brand, you will embody and promote Bottega Veneta’s values, ensuring consistency across the client experience, team management and store operations.
In the absence of the Store Director, you will take full responsibility for the overall management of the store.
Key Accountabilities
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Positive Team Environment: Promotes a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity, and superior performance standards, ensuring a consistent client experience.
- Performance Conversations: Provides support and regular feedback to Client Advisors, ensuring their development is ongoing and their motivation and sense of belonging are high. Conducts regular and monthly performance conversations with direct reports, discussing results and developing action plans.
- High-Performing Team: Participates in attracting, recruiting, and onboarding a high-performing team.
- Employee Relations: Partners with the Store Manager and Human Resources on employee relations issues to ensure effective resolution.
- Policy Adherence: Monitors the team’s adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Morning Briefings: Leads Store Morning Briefings as required, delivering key business communication and daily objectives.
CLIENT
- Superior Client Experience: Leads and inspires the team to execute a superior client experience.
- Client Engagement: Develops a client engagement mindset, aiming to build long-lasting relationships with clientele.
- Clienteling Tools: Ensures full utilization of various clienteling tools to activate, retain, and grow team and personal client bases.
- Clienteling Activities: Leads the execution of clienteling activities with the team, developing actions to reach clear goals and KPIs.
- Shop Floor Leadership: Leads from the shop floor, actively selling and role modeling the selling ceremony.
- Customer Flow Management: Manages the customer flow on the shop floor, ensuring no client is left unattended and exceptional service is delivered.
- Customer Issue Resolution: Manages and resolves customer issues, delighting and retaining the client relationship.
PRODUCT
- Merchandising Feedback: Partners with the Store Manager and the Merchandising team, providing effective feedback on products, stock situation, and specific category requests to grow the business.
- Visual Merchandising Insights: Partners with the Store Manager and VM team to provide insights to maximize the collection potential while ensuring the store’s image and merchandising guidelines are maintained.
- Product Knowledge Training: Partners with the Store Manager and the Training team to ensure Client Advisors develop full product knowledge through specific training, while keeping them aware of market trends and competitors.
- Digital Platforms: Utilizes digital platforms to support store and online product sales.
STORE OPERATIONS
- Store Compliance: Ensures store compliance with company procedures, policies, inventory control, and Health & Safety requirements, setting the example for the team and ensuring store staff are informed and trained.
- Loss Prevention: Accountable for the execution and success of loss prevention actions.
- Process Review: Continually reviews all store processes to ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the customer journey, including welcome, staff coverage, payment process and wrapping.
- Luxurious Environment: Maintains a luxurious store environment, ensuring store processes that guarantee an impeccable store appearance, including displays, cleaning, status of the furniture and employee grooming.
- Supporting Processes: Maintains smooth and effective store supporting processes, including product care, security and administration.
Who you are
- 3-5 years of retail or luxury retail store management experience, or relevant client-related experience, such as hospitality
- Strong understanding of client development, high-end customer service and luxury retail standards
- Strong analytical – numerical sensitivity, with the ability to analyze performance and identify growth opportunities
- Able to develop and execute action plans to improve store performance and customer experience
- Proven ability to support, inspire, coach and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strong results orientation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and collaborative mindset
- A brand ambassador who embodies Bottega Veneta’s values and brand image
- Fluent in Italian and English; any additional language is considered a plus
