How you will contribute?
As Retail Merchandising Manager, you will play a key strategic role in shaping the seasonal product direction for the RTW category. You will be the bridge between Collection Merchandising, Markets and several corporate teams, ensuring that the collection assortment and representation in the network meets business objectives while staying true to the brand’s identity and vision. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Buying Strategy Definition
- Define the global retail buying strategy for the Ready-to-Wear category, ensuring alignment with the brand vision, product strategy, and business objectives partnering with Collection Merchandising
- Build strategic assortment frameworks by store cluster, client profile, and regional specificities
2. Collection Presentation & Buy Preparation
- Lead the seasonal collection buying strategy presentation to regional teams, ensuring key product messages and business priorities are clearly conveyed
- Coordinate pre-buy meetings and collection walkthroughs with regional stakeholders (buying, retail, VM, marketing)
3. Global Buy Coordination
- Consolidate and validate regional buying proposals in alignment with WW assortment strategy
- Act as the main point of contact for regional merchandising teams, supporting them throughout the buy process
4. Performance & Business Analysis
- Analyze global retail performance (sell-in/sell-out, sell-through, SKU productivity, etc.) and provide recommendations to optimize assortment and in-season actions
- Monitor product lifecycle and contribute to end-of-season analysis and carry-over selections
- Present the results to Collection Merchandising to ensure alignment on future directions (strategies and tactics)
5. Market & Client Insights
- Collect feedback from markets to identify local needs, client preferences, and business opportunities
- Ensure product feedback flows to central teams (Collection Merchandising) to influence future collections
6. In-Season Management
- Define and implement in-season actions (rebalancing, replenishment etc) to maximize sales and reduce stock risk
- Partner with Supply Chain and Production to monitor product deliveries and availability across the network
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Visual Merchandising to ensure alignment between product strategy and in-store execution
- Support Marketing, CRM teams, Training teams to ensure storytelling, and local activations
8. Store & Market Visits
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor product performance, competitor activity, and gather insights from the field
- Partner with regional teams to identify market-specific opportunities and strategic actions
Who you are?
You are a passionate and analytical merchandiser with a strong connection to the product and a sharp eye for the luxury RTW market. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and are confident leading discussions at all levels.
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, ideally within the luxury segment and RTW
- Proven analytical mindset and strong numerical skills
- Confident public speaker, capable of presenting to large internal and external audiences
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Deep understanding of the luxury customer and market dynamics
- A passion for product and storytelling
- A strong sense of brand belonging and aesthetic sensibility
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
