    Mission: Reporting into the Ready-to-wear Product Development Director, you will be in charge to structure the collection buying processes, manage the collection budget, negotiating prices with external mills, monitor the coherence of the development with the collection plan elaborated with the merchandising department, establish and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, conduct frequent vendors evaluations to assess performance, quality and reliability.

    How you will contribute?

    COLLECTION FABRIC BUYING:

    • Be responsible of the full fabric collection buying and delivery on time in collaboration with the Head of Fabric Design and Development.
    • Be responsible of fabric collection balance from price and weight, composition following collection plan delivered by merchandising, optimizing stock, reusing left over
    • Oversee the correct management of fabric in our PLM and TESI system with the help of a Fabric buyer and administrator.
    • Oversee the whole negotiation of pricing, terms, technical file, delivery schedules with suppliers, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
    • Implement and enforce rigorous suppliers’ performance metrics, conducting regular evaluations to assess reliability, quality consistency and adherence to deliver timelines.
    • Collaborate with Collection merchandising and Production for the pre-buying & industrialization of our fabric collection.
    • Manage the Production hand-over in collaboration with the Head of Fabric Design and Development.
    • Coordinate with Product Development Director to be sure all fabrics ordered match with the quantities needed by the department.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Fabric Design and Development to understand collection themes, color schemes and fabric requirements.
    • Coordinate the fabric-to-sketch process with the Head of Fabric Design and Development and alert about stock/order/delivery situation.
    • Establish, cultivate, and manage strategic relationships with fabric suppliers in partnership with the Head of Fabric Design and Development, ensuring a diverse and reliable vendor base.
    • Link with head of sustainability to make sure to develop sustainable fabric version when possible.

    BUDGET MANAGEMENT:

    • Build and manage the collection fabric budget for each collection, assuring the quality reflects our Company’s requirements and that costs are adequately optimized.
    • Work closely with finance team to ensure budget adherence and cost-effectiveness.
    • Develop comprehensive fabric budgets for each collection partnering with the Head of Fabric Design & Development, respecting design requirements and production volumes.
    • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide clear documentation justifying budget allocations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Fabric, Design, PD, Merchandising, Production) to  ensure seamless integration of fabric budget with overall collection budgets.
    • Collaborate with production team to always be aware of leftover stock to be utilized effectively.

    QUALITY CONTROL:

    • Collaborate with the production quality control team to establish and maintain rigorous standards for fabric quality
    • Conduct regular inspection and quality check during the collection development steps.
