Creative Director
Pierpaolo Piccioli began his career in 1990 at Fendi’s accessories department, where he significantly contributed to the house’s leather goods’ success until 1998. That same year, he moved to Valentino, working alongside the storied Italian couturier Valentino Garavani.
In 2008, he was appointed co-Creative Director, later assuming sole responsibility of the Roman house as Creative Director from 2016 until 2024.
A master of haute couture and an architect of accessories, Pierpaolo Piccioli’s creative vision is grounded in shape, colour, and cut, with a particular focus on meticulous tailoring and feminine silhouettes. Exquisite execution and precise attention to every stage of creation have become trademarks of his work.
On July 10th, 2025, Piccioli was appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga. His first collection for the House will be presented during Paris Fashion Week in October 2025.
