    We are currently seeking a Director of Transportation & Trade Compliance as part of the Group Logistics department based in Wayne, New Jersey. As the Director of Transportation and International Trade, you will lead and optimize transportation performance, international trade compliance (imports, exports, duty optimization), and cost efficiencies across Kering Americas. You will drive strategy and execution, working cross-functionally with regional teams, global partners, brands, and external stakeholders, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    Leadership & Strategy

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team aligned with organizational and brand objectives.
    • Shape and communicate short- and long-term strategies for transportation, international trade, and duty optimization.
    • Partner with regional and central leadership to align strategy with global logistics objectives.
    • Drive a high-performance culture focused on compliance, improvement, and operational excellence.

    Trade Compliance & Customs Operations

    • Maintain classification database and written compliance procedures across all brands.
    • Manage customs broker relationships and service levels; conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
    • Oversee customs entry files and compliance with USCBP retention guidelines.
    • Support drawback claims, reconciliation, and protests; document and resolve trade issues.
    • Ensure timely and accurate execution of imports, exports, and clearance documentation.
    • Lead audit processes (entry, invoice), support CTPAT, and generate duty reporting for Finance.
    • Track trade-related regulatory changes and lead business adaptation efforts.

    Transportation Management

    • Provide oversight for all transportation flows, from origin through final delivery.
    • Manage third-party relationships (customs brokers, carriers, FTZ providers); conduct performance reviews and resolve service issues.
    • Drive continuous improvement through technology, cost optimization, and claims mitigation strategies.
    • Leverage track & trace tools and last-mile logistics technologies to enhance visibility and performance.

    Data, Reporting & KPIs

    • Build and manage KPIs across trade compliance and transportation functions.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and inform senior leadership.
    • Develop business cases for operational improvements and communicate roadmap progress.
    • Support planning with accurate, timely reporting for duty optimization and performance metrics.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Customs Broker’s License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Preferred
    • 8-10 years of experience in Import/ Export, Customs Brokerage/Freight Forwarding including knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Classification System, Import & Export requirements for international shipping, US Customs & Border Protection or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a pro-active approach
    • Continuous improvement mindset with a thirst for learning and finding new and innovative solutions to complex issues
    • Ability to work effectively and independently
    • SAP experience is a plus
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year plus incentives
