MISSION
Ensure the commercial success and long-term growth of the Men’s business in Japan by maximizing product relevance, driving in-store performance, and translating global strategies into locally resonant actions. Strengthen alignment between merchandising, retail, and marketing to elevate the brand experience and exceed business targets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build seasonal buying plans based on established product strategies and store clustering, ensuring alignment with Image and Core Offer recommendations and purchasing budgets.
- Lead seasonal product training and support store teams in driving performance through regular communication, store visits, and targeted coaching on investment focus, stock management, and brand and product presentation strategies.
- Propose and implement sales initiatives to drive performance in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Retail, Visual Merchandising, Marketing & Communication, and CRM.
- Oversee stock transfers and replenishment activities, aiming to improve sell-through by rebalancing inventory across stores.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports by collection, store, and product category, and analyze sell-through rates.
- Conduct monthly conference calls with HQ counterparts to review business results and share in-season feedback and market insights.
- Provide end-of-season reports by product typology, function, and price positioning in relation to market trends, customer behavior, and competitor context.
- Collaborate with the Planner to build sales forecasts for best-selling and high-performing seasonal items and translate insights into concrete sales initiatives and future business opportunities.
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree education
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in an international environment
- Mandatory fluency in Japanese and English
- Brand & Product understanding and sensitivity for Men’s Category and good knowledge of the market
- Analytical mindset and appetence for figures
- Good command of excel imperatively
- Strong communication skills - Strong people management /development skill
