    BOTTEGA VENETA - Merchandising Manager

    Bottega Veneta - Fixed Term (Fixed Term)
    Shanghai - Mainland China

    • Degree holder in relevant subject, prefer with advanced luxury education • Minimum 10 years’ experience in fashion merchandising/buying role with international fashion/luxury brand companies • Strong fashion and market sense with solid high-end fashion buying experience for China market • Strong leadership and communicator with a proven track record in leading, coaching, developing and succession planning of buying team • Excellent presentation, planning and analytical skills • Good command of written and spoken English • Able to work under high pressure • Occasional overseas travel is required

    Strategic Planning and Execution:
    - Develop and execute buying and merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and maximize market opportunities
    - Monitor sales and sell-through situation and initiating appropriate business strategies to achieve company’s sales target
    - Constant management of inventory, delivery and re-order situation, with the goal of stock optimization 
    - Track the movement of stocks and allocation to rebalance the stores’ needs vs offer

    Market Analysis:
    - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform buying decisions and stay ahead of industry trends.
    - Communicate trends, opportunities and risk to key stakeholder including GMM, Senior Management and HQ

    Sales Performance:
    - Analyze sales data, provide detailed sales reports, and adjust buying strategies to optimize inventory levels and profitability
    - Detailed analysis, accurate qualitative feedback and implementing action plans based on sales data, market trends and store feedback

    Team Leadership:
    - Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers and merchandisers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed

    Collaboration:
    - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including retail, marketing, sales, and visual merchandising, to ensure a cohesive brand experience and achieving merchandising strategies and company objecitves.
    - Close partnership  and effective communication with HQ Retail Merchandising team on merchandising strategies, sales analysis and concrete actions, executing projects with excellence
    - Taking the initiative with HQ communication
    - Providing HQ Retail Merchandising team product feedback and market needs including strategic pricing and product needs
    - Work closely with retail training team to provide seasonal product training and fashion trend information to the front-line staff
    - On-site event support
    - Ad-hoc tasks
