    BALENCIAGA Department Manager

    Founded by Spanish-born Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 and established in Paris in 1937, the original House of Balenciaga defined modern couture with its many innovations to form and technique. Today it continues to uphold the vision of the House through boundary-pushing collections including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and objets d’art. The brand’s unprecedented interactions with the expanding digital realm, material developments, and today’s social responsibilities keep it at the forefront of modernity. In 2021, Balenciaga’s 50th Couture collection—the House’s first since its founder retired in 1968 – reintroduces a standard of cutting-edge elegance. From October 2015 to July 2025, Demna designed both men’s and women’s collections as the Artistic Director. In July 2025, Pierpaolo Piccioli was appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga. We are currently seeking a Department Manager who will report to the Store Manager

    Your Opportunity
    You can significantly contribute to the store sales, by providing Balenciaga signature to all internal and external clients, support the management team and represent Balenciaga brand and image.

    How you will contribute

    ·         Implement action plans defined with the HQ and Store Manager and ensure follow-up

    ·         Communicate high quality relevant feedback and reporting to Store Manager

    ·         Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment

    ·         Motivate and challenge store management and store team on a regular basis

    ·         Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train and develop your team

    ·         Behave as a Balenciaga Ambassador, sustain and promote the culture of the brand internally and externally

    ·         Ensure Balenciaga Signature and Client experience are executed and consistent over time

    ·         Assure the recruitment, development and retention of clients, from beginners to VICs

    ·         Ensure that all the processes are in compliance with legal, safety, internal requirements, sustainability, HR and stock organization

    ·         Execute team planning on a weekly and monthly basis and summit it the Store Manager

    ·         Challenge current processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in your department

    Who you are

    ·         Diploma and above in any discipline with at least 6 years relevant experience in luxury retail industry which 3 years at managerial level

    ·         Inclusive leadership style and excellent organizational skills

    ·         Adaptable, persuasive, responsible, open-minded and dynamic team player

    ·         Willingness of learning and improving in a new work environment

    ·         Product and Fashion sensitivity

    ·         Excellent people management, customer service and interpersonal skill

    ·         Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

    ·         Good PC skills such as MS Office and other digital tools
