As a Client Engagement & Communications Intern, you will be supporting both Clienteling and Communications departments.

Role Mission As a Gucci Operations Controller, you will be responsible for providing operational support to the business by overseeing an efficient stockroom and accurate inventory.  You will support management in day-to-day operations including troubleshooting operational, service, facilities, and compliance issues.You will serve as a “Gucci Ambassador” by promoting the Gucci Values and Mindsets. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership &amp; Team Management<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective workload distribution and continuous improvement.</li><li>Serve as main contact for auditors, advisors, and key internal stakeholders.</li></ul>Accounting<ul><li>Oversee monthly and year-end closing, ensuring accurate consolidated financial statements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP / local GAAP).</li><li>Supervise core administrative and accounting activities, including invoicing, intercompany reconciliations, journals, accruals, payroll entries, and fixed asset accounting.</li><li>Prepare statutory financial statements under OIC and support statutory and internal audit requirements.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Consolidation<ul><li>Prepare and analyze the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies.</li><li>Manage monthly tax accruals for Group Reporting and submit them for fiscal consolidation.</li><li>Coordinate the annual budget and periodic forecast processes across all departments.</li><li>Develop and maintain Free Cash Flow forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights for decision-making.</li><li>Produce timely and reliable financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.</li></ul>Process Improvement &amp; Transformation<ul><li>Partner with finance leadership to implement automation, digital tools, and best practices.</li><li>Play a key role in financial system upgrades or ERP implementation projects.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; ExperienceEducation &amp; Certification:<ul><li>Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>Professional certification strongly preferred.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, consolidation, and reporting.</li><li>At least 3–5 years in a management or leadership role.</li><li>Experience in a multi-entity, international, or evolving organization (e.g., scale-up, M&amp;A environment, or transformation context).</li><li>Strong technical accounting expertise</li><li>Proven experience with consolidation systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP).</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes:<ul><li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li><li>Hands-on and detail-oriented, yet capable of strategic thinking.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Analytical mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and process optimization.</li><li>High degree of integrity, accuracy, and professional judgment.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.</li></ul>Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Regional TailorYour opportunityWe are currently seeking a Regional Tailor who will report to the Retail Director and will be based out of our Madison Avenue store in New York City when not traveling. The Regional Tailor will travel in support of all retail and franchising stores in the region for their VIP Home Service, seasonal trunk shows, and events.
